The arrival is Venice itself: water taxi through the canals, the grandeur of the Doge's Palace, and a walk through the Jewish ghetto with a guide chosen for depth, not convenience. Murano and Burano follow, where centuries of glassmaking tradition reveal themselves up close.
From there, the journey turns inward. Padua's ghetto and the home of the Ramchal. The kevarim of the Mahram of Padua, Don Yitzchak Abarbanel, and the Mahril Mintz. In Reggio Emilia, the journey reaches its heart: the kever of the Zera Shimshon, marked with a yartzheit seuda at a kosher winery.
Florence closes the journey in a different register entirely. Shacharis at a shul of remarkable beauty, then the artistry of the Accademia, the Ponte Vecchio, and the Boboli Gardens. An afternoon for shopping, an evening at a kosher winery.
